Testimonials from local clients

Ellie offers a holistic session, recognising the whole person sitting in front of her. It is much more than talking therapy and helped me to explore my thinking, my gut - body and instincts, the stories, and roles I had created, my nervous system, my breath, every part was brought in to be recognised and supported and understood, in a deeply nurturing, comfortable and protective setting. I felt held, safe and relaxed in the counselling space, and with Ellie. These factors enabled me to explore scary things. Above all I would say that Ellie is a real person, down to earth, warm and kind.

Maria from Sussex

"I was initially very nervous about sharing my personal issues outside my own head, but Ellie made me feel quickly comfortable and at ease. She has a calming authentic quality about her, and I felt validated by her. She was equally directive and flexible in her approach. Her knowledge of the effects of trauma was very clear and this was very important to me, I felt witnessed and heard. Her focus on healing was very refreshing and positive in many ways, whilst still validating of painful experiences and their effects on my life both historically and more current. Focussing on the ‘felt sense’ of my emotions was new to me and Ellie supported me to learn ways to focus in toward where these emotions resided in my body, I was able to learn how and what  my emotions were communicating and felt connected with parts of myself I had not listened to before.  I would recommend Ellie without hesitation."

Clare from Sussex

"Ellie showed an innate skill at helping me delve deeper, to explore what lay beneath the words I brought. Ellie works below the surface level; asking probing, sometimes challenging, questions - these helped me not to get lost or distracted by the story. They helped me link current and past relationships, patterns and habits; to draw out the themes, gain insights to help me make choices, and helped me make sense of what I was concerned about. Ellie helped me to connect my thoughts and my feelings, helping me notice how my body was reacting to the words I spoke which gave another perspective and further insights".

Brenda from Sussex

“Ellie supported my partner and I through a very difficult period of trauma within our family, I do not feel we would have coped well at all without her support, she listened when no-one else did, we built an invaluable relationship with Ellie that sustained and nurtured us so that we could sustain and nurture our child”.

Charlie and Tom from Sussex

"Ellie has a remarkable ability to listen, to understand and to support others, to encourage them to grow where they are strong and to nurture them in times of need. Ellie does not tell you what to do. She creates a space where your emotions are able to be expressed, so that a person can look at themselves kindly but honestly. She asks the questions that enable you to find the answers for yourself. Ellie has great insight into human behaviour, and she is not at all judgmental of others. She is patient, honest and kind. I strongly recommend Ellie to work with families going through difficult times. Ellie was a great source of strength to my family, enabling us to build positive strategies that will not only make a significant difference but also be long lasting, indeed potentially life changing.”

Julia from Kent

“Ellie enabled me to make the most of the last times I had with my stepfather and to express what I wanted to say to him before he passed away.  She has also subsequently helped me to remember him in a peaceful, rather than self-critical way.  I see her as a compassionate, patient, and wise person.  Very unusually for me, I felt comfortable in discussing my feelings and personal issues with Ellie" .

Matthew, age 21, from Kent

" I have found Ellie’s therapy sessions to be extremely useful and rather different than other counselling sessions I've had. She is a little more directive but in a very helpful way.  I feel she has developed her own blend through life experience and practice and offers a gentle, clear, and empowering counselling style that I found very, very helpful and very, very calming; one that is quite unique.

Ellie supported me to connect to the sensations within my body and with my inner child/ren directly, and locate the exact areas of the body where different emotional traumas were stored, meaning I could continue to send those areas love and healing well after the sessions were over".

Karen from Sussex

"Ellie builds trust easily by demonstrating her compassion and kindness. It is evident that she loves to help people. She is approachable with highly evolved listening skills. She has a beautiful way of reflecting back which demonstrates she has listened to what you have said. She is in tune with your body language and notices what is happening through exquisite observation, supporting you to explore the deeper feeling beneath. She makes you feel comfortable so you can share what’s on your mind without judgement. She believes in you and sees the potential you have. She has an amazing ability of creating a safe and relaxed environment."
