Make a Wish

It all begins with an idea.

What granted wish would offer you the greatest gift? Are all the answers not based on happiness at their core?

Happiness, what does that even look like? Pleasure, joy, delight, exhilaration, enjoyment or is it more contentedness?

Psychology often defines happiness as an enduring state of mind that consists of all the above.

But where does happiness come from and how can we move toward it more often in our lives? There are many definitions and factors listed that can engender happiness: Living in peace and harmony, feeling pride in what you do and how you take your place in the world, how satisfying life feels, how fulfilled you feel, the balance of negative and positive emotions you feel, whether you have a sense of meaning and purpose and feel valued, as examples.

And there are a variety of ways listed to gain happiness including: finding meaning, working to achieve positive emotions, not living in the past, staying involved with life and beauty, eating healthily, letting go of resentments, feeling love, connection and appreciation toward yourself, recognising the things you can and cannot change, being in connection with others, being positive, connecting with something bigger than yourself/spirituality.

So what gets in your way of living a life with enduring happiness at your core? Where are your stuck states which are preventing or hindering your ability to be in enduring happiness?

If you’re ready to explore and work together on how to make your wish come true, contact me and let’s begin.

Do you enjoy the frosty days?

It all begins with an idea.

Do you enjoy the frosty days?

Does it bring thoughts of snuggling up in big warm jumper and clasping a cup of hot chocolate, curling up to watch TV? Or does it fill you with dread to think of the weeks ahead?

These darker, colder, often wetter days can be hard to navigate for anyone, and if you’re already having a difficult time, they can further affect your mood.

It’s hard to motivate ourselves when the skies are less blue and it’s cold, but it is time when we need to ensure we take extra care of ourselves. It is good to increase our time spent with others, not locked away on our own - it’s a time when we need to continue seeking out beauty, being in nature, going for a walk despite the weather, even if their is no point and you have nowhere to go - go anyway - it will increase your positive hormones and lift your spirit. Turn on happy music and dance, sing, watch comedy, hug a tree - whatever you need to do, do it - take care of yourself, love yourself enough. Don’t give into the weather - rise above, one moment at a time.

An everyday moment in time.

It all begins with an idea.

An everyday moment in time encapsulating so many potential facets of mood. Which one resonates with your heart space right now?

The darkness underfoot claiming the deep sense of shame you hide from the world, the calm water that belies the turmoil waiting to emerge as you move toward fear, the setting sun that means it’s time you can return through the door offering sanctuary from the anxieties of this world, the clouds on the horizon that feel like impending worry, or the blue sky penetrating through the dissipating thick clouds to bring a moments relief from grief and sorrow, despair or boredom - allowing a deeper intake of breath as the warm golden fragments of light warm your soul?

Such a simple scene, so many possible responses.

I hope this night offers you freedom from your pain and brings some relief and joy.

The colourful world beyond.

It all begins with an idea.

Can you see the colourful world beyond the curtain of fear you’ve found yourself behind? It’s time. It’s time to step beyond the limited place you have been responding from, it’s time to find out who you can be.

Change for clients who experience fear at the core of whatever signs, symptoms and behaviours that are manifesting, can feel overwhelming, deeply scary, and somewhat impossible. It requires trusted supportive people to help build the core stability required to move toward responding from a place of expansiveness, confidence, and trust in self. My life story had been an example of travelling between these ways of being and alongside my professional training and experience and my faith in the ability to change, these are my gifts to offer.
